Figurative Art

My career in art began with studying advertising design and illustration at the Ontario College of Art and Design University in Toronto. Later I obtained a Bachelor's degree in creative art from York University. I worked in commercial art and graphic design for years before starting my career in painting. My art is represented by many prominent galleries including the Toronto Art Fair. I exhibited regularly with the Ontario Society of Artists and represented the Society on the Board of the John B Aird Gallery. Following our move to the East Coast of Canada I owned and operated a gallery in Lunenburg Nova Scotia. My work is found in both private and public collections in Canada and the United States.

My work responds to my environment and is concerned with connection, isolation and the human need to belong. It addresses gender identity and women's issues. Since Covid I have felt compelled to paint how we care and support one another.  Art makes us feel connected, less alone, and hopeful.
